I was doing a little ITX build for my mother, but she refuses to use windows 10 and i assumed i could just use windows 7 on the new PC but after skimming some of the posts i think i actually cant? These are the parts for the PC. Can i run windows 7 with this ?
Also, side question, I was intending to use Windows 7 Ultimate but i cant find german ISOs. Cant i change the system language to german and be done with it?

That motherboard and processor will not work together.

Most of the newer hardware requires W10.
You need to be using Windows 10 on these parts.

Why Windows 7 Ultimate? A legit Windows 7 Ultimate license costs about half as much as this build and if this is a pirated Windows 7 Ultimate, we can't provide any help whatsoever in using it.

did you find any windows 7 driver for the mobo?
I just looked and found some, yes.

hm, thats unfortunate. the gpu has win7 drivers, and the ssd should be fine, i found some win 7 forum posts talking about that particular drive, and the ram should work as well as im intending to use the win7 ultimate version which supports 16 GB ram and higher. I assume PSUs dont care about OS version, right? so the only issue is the CPU
Edit: seems some parts arent compatible after all.

i think it might be incombatible with everything but the GPU, at which point i should probably go for a different board instead changing everything else. Ill update once ive found something that should work.

Cpu and motherboard are not compatible. i3-9100F requires 300 series board.

After you resolve hardware compatibility issues, windows 7 can be installed.
You can use Gigabyte windows USB installation tool to integrate USB drivers into installation.

Note windows 7 will not be supported on newer hardware. You'll get a nag screen about upgrading to windows 10, when running windows automatic update.
This can be remedied with wufuc.

I think ive found the big issue where all other problems stem from. When i was browsing for parts i started with the CPU as it seemed the easiest to work from there. i chose the i3-9100F because it seemed like a good value. I checked which socket to go with and guess where i browsed for motherboards after... and because PC part picker didn't even list the H110i-Plus it couldn't tell me about any incompatibility...

I've now checked for the H310i-Plus motherboard and found my RAM and SSD to be compatible but the PSU isn't on their list. Is it really that important what PSU model i use? i assumed they'd be virtually interchangeable.

I also saw in the parts compatibility sheet under section 3.3 for GPUs that the ASUS GT 730 cards are compatible with this motherboard but not the MSI GT 730 that i bought. Does that make a difference, can i really not use the MSI branded one?

I'll move this thread over to another sub, as it has derailed from the window 7 topic pretty far by now. thanks for the help anyway!
