Question Windows 7 on new motherboard eg Intel H310

Hi,

My Win 7 machine just died and I cant upgrade to Win 10 because I use Cubase 9 and I can not afford to buy a new PC and upgrade to Cubase 10. According to their webiste Cubase 9 works on Win 10 1803 but not 1809.

I have read about Win 7 on Intel 100 & 200 series mobos, and have been googling around and some people say yes to Win 7 on H310, I even found an article saying Gigabyte are releasing a variant of H310 mobo with native Win 7 drivers.

I can use the gfx card from my old PC if needed, but I do need the USB ports and the sound card to be working totally fine.

If needed I could go for an intel 7th gen CPU or slightly older AMD CPU.

Any and all suggestions or advice welcome, apart from use Win 10!

What about the audio drivers? Where will I be able to find them?

If motherboard manufacturer doesn't provide them, then you'll have to find them by yourself.
