the title says it all: windows 7 or 8, which should I get gaming wise? and Also I want suggestions on my build and how should I change it, my budget is $1000 USD.

Solution
For gaming, there isn't any performance difference between Windows 7 and 8. The choice really comes down to which interface you prefer. However, Windows 8 does boot up a little faster.

Personally, for non-touch devices, I stick with Windows 7. But I love Windows 8 on my Nokia phone and my tablet.
