Windows 7 or 8?

Im planning on playing Battlefield 4 at 60+ FPS. I hear from some people that BF4 performs better on windows 8 but then again some people say Windows 7 looks and runs better. Which one?

i would assume windows 8, im running windows 8 onn my pc and have played bf3 and can say it runs smooth.. depending on pc ofcourse..

I have a Toshiba satellite L50-A00V gen 4 i7 4700MQ QuadCore with 8GB ram and its great on my pc..

There's basically no difference. Either one will give you about the same performance.

Games are just going to be coming out with DX 11.1 /11.2 in mind from now on. I made the plunge, and I have no regrets. Make it boot to desktop and use classic shell and you basically have Windows7 on steroids. It WILL NOT stop the crashing in BF 4, only DICE can fix that, but you will enjoy it, and future games more.

Edit: To the post above me, there IS a difference. I was a Windows 8 hater until I get it a go, now I will NEVER go back to WIndows7 again (unless someone steals my WInd 8.1 Disks and I have to reformat computer). I went from 45 - 85 on Ultra with a fresh install of Windows 7, to 65 - 100 FPS on Ultra on Windows 8.1. Everything feels faster too, not just gaming. The real key to running Battlefield 4 is not the OS but the Video Card/Graphics. As far as a selection of an OS, I always choose the latest OS available for at least one of my machines. Battlefield 4 will run just fine with either Windows 7 or Windows 8.
More important than the OS is the video card I am running Windows 8 Pro w/ 16GB of RAM, and my graphics card has 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 Memory, and an AMD FX-8350 CPU O/C'd to 4.4GB. I have not found anything that didn't run great on my machine.
So I will ask you...what is the hardware configuration on your computer?

actually, another key here is the DX 11.2 which is exclusively available on 8.1. It brings Tiled Resources, which improves gaming performance (reducing the use of Physical Memory)
