Windows 7 or 8?

It's my first time building a gaming computer and I can't decide between W7 and W8. I personally like W7 more than W8 but idk.. What do y'all think?

I prefer Windows 7, depending on what do you want to use your pc for, there is a lot of information about it here on the forums.

If your tailoring your computer specifically towards gaming then in my opinion Windows 7 is the way to go. Don't get me wrong there isn't much of a difference (lil-bit) performance-wise, but if your playing any older games from the Windows Vista era and before there may be compatibility issues and such that will inhibit or may not even allow you to play old games. If your used to Windows 7 then stay with it. It will be easier for you in the long run because you won't run into any issues that may inhibit you to play games, and you don't have to relearn everything you know about your Windows OS. Below are two detailed comparisons between the two OS's and their FPS's on popular titles. TechBuyersGuru had more drastic results while TomsHardware for the most part recorded they stayed somewhat similar, with a few exceptions.
