Good day guys, I need your help. I have a netbook asus eeepc with windows 7 operating system. I back-up my files from C to D using system back up so that i can install linux mint 17.
When I initialize the installation of linux, the installer prompted me that there is an operating system already intalled on my netbook. I click continue because i know that I already backed-up my files on C, but when I restart my netbook to use windows it only display a vertical line that is blinking.

How can I get back my files?

Help me guys please. :(
there's so many files on my HDD that i kept for almost a decade, those are memories of grade school and high school days.

:(

Is there any chance?

Hi Sir,I am Bharath from India. As you said that Vertical Blinking Line,I am really sorry,Windows has been removed by Linux.Your Data is lost. Please remember,Back-up means,One have to only back their files in an Externel Driv and not the Internel. But you can go to a Data Recovery centere and ask them.I am sorry I cannot help you.Thank you
