Windows 7 password change

My windows 7 pc has changed the user logon password, i didn't create a password reset key. is there anyway i can get into it without having to do a fresh reinstall. i do not have the install disk. if there is no way can i take the hard drive out plug it into a different pc so i can save all the files.

Windows would not have just changed the password without someone telling it to change the password. We can't help you get into the files since we have no way of knowing if you are the actual owner of the system or files you need to get to.
