Hello, I would like to know about the performance windows 7 will have on a computer with these specs;
1. Core 2 Duo E6700 @ 2,66 Ghz
2. Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 Gainward Edition 1 GB
3. 4 GB of RAM
4. 240 GB of SSD storage

I can understand that booting will be fast, but I usually have around 8 tabs opened in chrome one of which is a song on youtube. I would also like to do some work with Visual Studio but nothing too difficult to be run, I'm in the very beginning stage of programming. I may work a bit with Unity 3d later on but I'm not sure. Oh, and I would like to play Minecraft.

I can understand that this computer is not appropriate for such tasks but I wouldn't like to spend a lot of money and most of the parts are already in my ownership. I would just like to know if these applications will be running at a good speed.
Thanks

he says it has an SSD already right? or did i read that wrong.

that should be just fine for doing light tasks. you may feel like upgrading to 8gb ram if thats possible with your motherboard. but the SSD should make it feel very snappy at least with short load times.

A very simple answer is......... if you stick with your current pc some lite work u should upgrade ur ram to 8gb, ................ or near future u wanna do some heavy work like editing or rendering... u have to change to whole system........ and definitely that times the generation will be be upgraded with running software..........

Ok thank you guys! My motherboard doesn't support 8 GB of ram I knew that in the first place. And yes I have an SSD. I guess that chrome won't be that slow even if it uses the page file since it will be part of the SSD!
