I cant install windows 7 on my new desktop computer.

Im using a 64gb bootable flash drive with my win 7,8,10 isos.

Win 8 & 10 both install and work fine but with 7 i cant get it to detect my 2tb harddrive. But when i click repair. It detects i have a windows 8 install on the hdd??

I have installed windows many times really cant wrap my head around this. Iv changed the bios to xhci tried various different settings all to the same problem.

Each install comes with pre-installed firmware that checks for various types of devices. If the install is not picking up the HDD, then it sounds like the install ISO you have may be older or the firmware is not supported for that particular version of Windows 7. I would update the ISO to something more modern (maybe Pro or Enterprise) and go from there.

the iso works fine. i use it on a daily basis with no problems. on older machines and newer computers. i cant go with pro or enterprise because my product key is home premium.. my usb stick is plugged into usb 3 ports on the motherboard.
