Windows 7 Pro or Windows 8 for gaming computer?

Hello,

I was wondering what is better for a gaming/multimedia computer, windows 7 Pro or Windows 8. Also, which one will be better for the next few years?

Personally, you may as well go Windows 8 as it will have longer support. But, if you hate the metro GUI you can either change it or go to Windows 7.

Pro has no benefits that I'm aware of that will make your gaming experience better, other than it can recognize greater than 16GB of system ram.

I heard if you get Windows 8 Pro you can downgrade to windows 7
,so i also would just recommend windows 8
so you have options

Or if you are not in a rush you can wait for Windows 9
