Big fan of 75% of the advice that is doled to the general public on this forum. I just updated the bios on my MSI 890FXA-GD70 motherboard, however the bios still recognizes all 6 cores (and are enabled) but the OS doesn't recognize more than two. I have tried unchecking "number of processors" in advanced options of system configuration and restarting (a few times) and it refuses to display more than two. Thank you for any knowledge on this issue.

Also, there were like two other threads that seem to have helped someone find the answer to this, but all of the answer posts were deleted, so it looked like the people were talking to themselves and somehow fixed it.

Not too sure why Win7 wouldn't recognize all 6 cores if it was that alone but i noticed a setting in your bios that you could take a look.

Under Cell in the bios, have a look at CPU Core Control - 11 lines down or so under CPU Specifications. Says in the manual can select the amount of active processors. Auto is default, try your luck there.
