Windows 7 Reset to factory setting

I got a HP laptop that had Windows 7 Professional pre-installed on it. My computer is really messed up now and i want to reset it to factory settings. I wanted to ask that if i do that and my windows gets removed, how can i install it again if i don't have a windows DVD? I don't really have any discs to help me install or fix the windows.

Thanks for responding but no it didn't help because I did not make a recovery disc when I got the laptop and now it's all messed up and it doesn't even let me restore because of some registry problems

If you didn't create a recovery disk and there is no restore partition, then you will need to contact HP. They may sell you a media version for $5.
