Windows 7 runs in safe mode,but doesn't in normal

When I try logging into my account in normal mode my computer freezes/lags alot, but when I log on to my account in safe mode everything works fine

have you tried a system restore to before this problem started?

One way I found to check if particular Drivers are an issue is, to uninstall them in safe mode which forces windows to reinstall on next boot...
This often solves issues where a driver develops a fault or becomes corrupted and prevents normal boot...
