Windows 7 says i have internet, but it is not working

So the problem im having is that Windows says i have internet but skype, steam and other programs cant connect. And i cant visit any websites either. I have my computer hoocked up with cable to a router, all the otter devices om the router Worm. So i tried to hook it up without a router and Going straight to the wall output but it still dident work. Thank you for your help in advance.

Something is wrong with your windows installation.

Try deleting the network device in device manager and then restart the computer.
