Every time I exit a game after about 15 minutes of play, Windows 7 slows down for a minute and then it'll go back to normal. Why is this? Anyone have a clue?

My Rig:

FX6300
3 Seagate HDD's (1TB, 320GB, 160GB)
8GB RAM DDR3
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 motherboard
Onboard ATI Radeon HD 3000 video
500W PSU

Do you already have a lot of programs or background tasks running in the background? If so, then you run out of RAM while playing, causing the computer to dump the background processes into the page file so that the process has enough memory. Then, after you've quit the game, the computer will start swapping the previous processes from the page file back into physical memory, which slows your computer for a while.

Actually I was using it as well as the HDD, both were causing Windows to slow down for a while after playing.

I think that was it since I was using almost 3GB of my RAM as a disk and was almost always running out of RAM.
