Windows 7 Sound Problem?!

I was using a sound blaster driver for my Boston PC speakers. I have now upgraded to windows 7 and cannot get them to work and drivers wont load.

Any thoughts?

Have a look on this website for your model, if you don't know your model of sound blaster it will be on the box or the card itself.

Have you completed all windows updates after turning over to windows 7?

It's possible that if you have an older sound blaster card, it won't have drivers written for Windows 7, especially if you moved straight from XP to Windows 7. This is especially true if you are running a 64 bit operating system now, as they were not very common when older Sound Blaster cards were made.

If this is the case the easiest thing to do is to try and let Win7 find the drivers by either going to Device Manager and searching, or as Combat said, do windows updates and it may find it there too. They would most likely be genericish and if not then certainly not the latest drivers but they're better than nothing.
