Windows 7 SSD installed in IDE mode cannot boot in other PC

Good day! I would like to ask how can I boot my ssd from my other pc that died to another pc. I just don't like to reinstall all of the applications and os from the beginning. I hope I can still boot it.

My Dead PC:
GA-Z68AP-D3 mobo

My Current PC using with the SSD from dead pc is:
H61M-E23

I installed Windows 7 on my ssd in IDE mode. And I plug it on my other pc with IDE and AHCI compatible. I tried booting it from IDE mode but it said that Reboot and select proper boot device. But when I tried it on AHCI, it will immediately go to bios setup.

What should I do? Thanks in advance

the chances of a windows install from an old computer working in a new one are slim to none. there are just too many changes for windows to work and run right for it to work. anyone who does this and windows boot correctly would be lucky. you have no choice but to backup your data and do a clean install of windows

Windows 7 typically doesn't like being ported to another machine, you may not have a choice but to reinstall Windows. Another thing to think about is that newer platforms such as Z270 and newer for Intel and the X370 for AMD aren't made to work with Windows 7 natively, it takes some finagling to make it work with the USB3 and god knows what else. I know you said you don't like reinstalling everything, but I would bite the bullet and ensure that everything is going to run properly with a fresh install.

But can I still boot it up from other old PC? My dead PC is a GA-Z68AP-D3 mobo, and the PC I currently have the SSD plugged in is a H61M-E23 (B3). Can I make it at least boot and back up on H55M-E32 which is an older mobo?

I am sorry for not including my mobo spec, I updated it. And I said that my current pc using to revive my SSD is H61M-E23 (B3)

The H61 chipset only supports (enhanced) IDE mode

if you are able to get the SSD booting with a SATA controller with the same mode has the Gigabyte z68 board, then you can apply sysprep after the fact to get it booting off the MSI H61 chipset board.

Before going too far with this experiment, please have full images of your OS and Data partitions on any affordable, reliable, external media. That way, if anything goes wrong, you can reconstruct what works in the original computer -- and perhaps can try again.

I can't really remember well since it was past 6 months since I checked and installed it but I think it's only available on IDE mode that's why I make it that way, because if there is an AHCI mode there for sure I will do it on AHCI. The problem is either ACHI and IDE mode cannot boot my SSD. But I managed to connect it to a usb port using an enclosure adapter.

I managed to plugged it via USB 3.0 using an enclosure adapter for external hdds. But the partition, its just the OS drive.
