I was running XP on the following system:
Pentium Dual-Core E5300 @ 2.6 GHz
ASRock G31M-VS
2x2GB DDR2 800 MHz
360 GB HDD @ 7200 RPM
I disconnected my HDD, connected a Transcend SSD, and installed Windows 7 Ultimate.
My computer has begun randomly crashing -- I'm not sure what the technical term is but it's not "shutting down" (like when you shut down from Start); rather, the system turns off instantly, as though I have unplugged it the system from the wall. While this "usually" happens when installing updates from Windows Update (though sometimes updates don't crash the system), it also happens at random times, when the system is idle. Additionally, when restarting the computer, I have had (though, thankfully, not recently) difficulty booting up into Windows.
Any suggestions?
