I'm building a new system and, for various reasons, I prefer using Windows 7 to Windows 10. (Main reasons: Windows 10 problems with WindowBlinds, support for old games.)

Has anyone tried running Windows 7 on a Skylake processor, particularly the 6700k? Have you had performance or reliability problems as a result of running Windows 7 on Skylake? Maybe problems related to Windows 7 support of hyperthreading, or something like that?

(I know I'll have issues installing Windows 7 in the first place due to USB drivers; I'm concerned with happens after that. And I know that Microsoft support for Windows 7 on Skylake ends in July, 2018.)

Not sure about stability but it can certainly be done. The main thing to consider is whether your motherboard offers driver support for Windows 7.
