windows 7 starts then white screen ?

I have a triple monitor set up for gaming. In the middle of a racing game my monitors went blank, then just the center one came back on whit with lines. Just wondering if my video card went bad or is it the PC OS ? any info. would be a great help.

Does it only happen while gaming or also while simply using the OS for anything else?
