Windows 7 UEFI Install Problem

Been trying to install Windows 7 UEFI via a USB for 2 hours now and can't seem to figure out why it wont let me install. I get to the Custom part and I see all the drives listed but cannot install to any drives as it says

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

In Bios i have Sata Controller set to RAID. I have it setup for 2x1tb hdds in a RAID 0 setup. I have a Gigabyte Z87 OC Force.

I see, is it the first time you have tried to raid two drives.

Anyway some boards have two sata chip sets.
One to run Sata 2.0 ports on the board, And the other Sata chip set controls the Sata 3.0 ports.

So you have to watch where you plug the Sata cables to the board.
But in the menu section of Sata devices it should list two Sata chip sets.
I know one is intel I just cannot remember the name of the other.


Right if it`s your first time setting up Raid.
Select the mode Raid and then each drive you wish to as Raid. Make sure both are using the same Sata chip set for example intel matrix.

After you have done this its not just a simple case of saving the settings in the bios before exiting.

After a reboot you must enter an extended option menu denoted by an F key example F10.

You must then create the array.
By selecting the mode you wish example: Raid mode 0.
And the array type: Mirrored, or striped.
And create the array.

Basically a type of format that pairs the drives together as one larger drive, map them both and format.
resulting in one drive seen in windows of 2TB in size.

If you don`t create the array windows will not find the drives set up on the Sata controller set as raid mode.

You have to create an array after setting up the Sata to raid mode and the two drives you wish to pair.
