Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit install

I am currently running Vista 64 bit and I want to install windows7 full version. What is the best way to do this? Do I just put the disc in and follow the steps or do i need to do a Full install?

Please help...

Not sure if I should just insert the dics or do I need to uninstall Vista first!

If your Vista is up-to-date with service packs you can just stick in the Win7 install disk and follow the prompts.
This allows you to keep your current programs and data intact.

A 'clean install' lets you start over with a fresh Win7 only install
