Windows 7 Ultimate N problems and issues.

I live in the U.S. and my uncle offered me a free copy of windows 7 European edition, I took it and thought, " what could be different?". I was partially right, this does not have the media pack and whenever I go to the website to download it, the file never shows up. GTA V needs the media pack to work but since cant download it, i can't play GTA. Also, Windows 7N cant be upgraded to windows 10 for free I guess. I want to get 8.1 and then upgrade to 10 when I save up for my new PC, in the meantime, any solutions?

Change the country and/or region settings and maybe windows update will work..

It was already set to my location, didn't fix it.
