I installed Windows 7 on another (D) partition of my hard drive, played with it a few times and reformated that partition. However when the system boots now I still get the OS choices screen that offers Windows 7 or an Earlier version of Windows.

There's no reference to the other partition and Windows 7 in boot.ini, so what gives?

How do I get rid of this unnecessary os choices screen?

Thanks

Tony

Solution
in xp type msconfig into the run box,

under one of the tabs should be a bunch of text similar to the bottom of your message, remove the one for windows 7.
When your in Windows, right click my comp. then go to the advanced tab, click on startup & recovery settings, You'll be able to see everything that needs to be changed there. :)
