Ok so I am asking for a friend here. My friend and I built his rig about 6 years ago. After we did the research and checked reviews from different sites he slowly made the purchases.
It took almost a year to build. Finally, we got it built and he used a pirated copy of windows 7.
He tells me now that it is always coming up with "click here to install updates". The OS runs fine, no issues, just that the reminder is in the corner all the time.
I have tried using command line to install these and have tried numerous other ways.
I tried installing Windows 10 at one point for him but it didn't install because it needed to update windows 7.
Wondering if anybody has any thoughts or even a solution if their is one
