Windows 7 Update Controversy

A couple of times i heard news about Microsoft ending support for Windows 7 however i do not agree with that. I am still getting updates to my prebuilt PC having 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Now as i see, there are some recent updates dated Feb 18 ready to be installed on my pc therefore i believe Windows 7 is not dead yet. What do you have to say about this?

You have almost two years remaining for Extended support in Win 7.

Intel 7th Gen + and AMD Ryzen do not support anything but Windows 10 is what you may have also heard.

You are getting updates, but only security updates. As mentioned above, in about 2 years even those will stop. Support for win7 is just about done.

extended support for almost all editions of Win7 (except Win7 embedded) ends on January 14, 2020 as MS noted.
