Windows 7 Update failure

So I got a new SSD yesterday. Formated and started installing drivers. Some of the drivers asked for microsoft .net framework and such. Started by checking for windows updates, no luck. Error 8024001b came up. Went through all the fixes here "https://www.infopackets.com/news/9602/how-fix-windows-update-wont-update", no luck. Went to bed and was ready for new format this morning, but suddenly I had updates. Shut down PC, 166 updates ready, but it hung up and failed.

Just install the updates again in small batches.
Window 7 takes times to check for updates when you have a clean install. Installing all the updates in one go often fails. You should do 10 updates every time.

There are many more. Trying to manually start updates seems to be quite slow. The overnight method gets the job done. Good luck.

Thanks for the help, I shoul've googled a bit more first. Updating in small batches worked wonders.
