Hi everybody, I am new to this site, but I see that everybody is extremely helpful so I'm going to give this a shot.
I recently built a brand new computer. Everything was put together well, got the computer to start up no problem and work like a charm. I installed Windows 7 and got to my usual routine, updating, installing anti-virus and such, etc.. When the updates were done, I restarted to install them. When I restarted my computer, my screen would go past the ASUS logo, then to the Windows screen that says "Starting" as if windows was starting to load. After that, my screen turns black, my monitor says no signal and that's that. I turn my computer off and back on and I get the following error: Failure to boot Windows. I have 2 options at this point:
Launch Windows Normally - Try to boot Windows up again, but eventually have the same issue happen and return to this screen.
Launch System Repair - Have my computer do a System Restore to the point when it originally worked.
I do the System Repair and it says it failed to restore my computer and one of the errors says BadDriver. I restart my computer and I am back to the original point of where I had no updates and the cycle begins again. Everything works fine when I do a dxdiag, it says I have 8GB of RAM installed, my graphics card, the whole nine yards. What could the issue be here? I've never heard of anything like this or had anything like this happen to me or anybody I know.
