When I set up a vpn on windows 7 through my wireless network, I can connect ok, but then have no internet even though both connections say that I do. The only way to get internet back is to disconnect the vpn connection. Then the only way to reconnect the vpn connection is to delete the vpn connection and create a new one. The VPN connection only connects the first time, but with no internet.

If you connect to a VPN, means you have an internet connection as you need that to connect to whatever VPN you are using. Once you are on VPN, you are using that site's connection. Do you need to set a proxy server for that site?

Are you actually talking about VPN or something else? Did you talk to whoever gave you the VPN settings? If this is a VPN setup from work, you can contact your IS support for there.

This VPN setup works fine on my Windows XP laptop and my Vista laptop, but not on the Windows 7 home premium version laptop. Any suggestions? I realize that I have internet just to make the connection, but after the connection is made, I no longer can go anywhere until I disconnect the VPN connection.
