yea win 7 did release an update to help fix that doe so many people still experience this problem. you should get ethier win 8.1 or win 10 id prefer win 10 as win 8 is metro based for touch screens etc. iv growing to win 10. doe it does send a lot of data to microsoft which will effect the performance of some things you do like gaming make sure to turn most things in privacy off. also can download a program called anti spybot so that it stops sending any data at all. sure win 10 is not the only version to do this. all win does and apple.

Is it possible to TURN it completely off in Windows 10 pro? The auto update + the sending of information? Or will it just turn itself back on?
I have nothing illegal on my computer, but for music production I dont need some program looking for updates or sending information about what I am doing to slow or interup the real-time audio efficiency.
So why do I have to do the stuff in the second link you gave me?
Instructions in first link update windows to state on May 2016.
Second link lists updates needed on August 2016. Without them windows update is not fully fixed.

Ok.
It just states in the buttom of the first link, that updates after May 2016 will be updated, via normal Windows update once the rollup has been done.
nor do i its just the data that is being send out is a lot for some people that have a set plan for there broadband, you can turn all privacy off in settings doe the win 10 only has an option that sends data at basic standard or full. there is no option to turn off with the anti spybot i applaud. stops any from sending out.

Just install those updates manually.
Automating the process requires writing script and understanding, what it does. It's not a simple copy/paste operation.

It says both are already installed.
So I hit the Windows Update button and now it takes forever again? So far 9 min.
