I have a HP Pavilion G series laptop that came with windows 7 preinstalled\activated. For some reason I tried to start my computer up and it wouldn't load. I went to the recovery options and tried to preform a restore to factory setting and theres no recovery image there. Is there any way to reinstall windows without having to re purchase it. Is there anyway for my to find out my activation code for the preinstalled version I had and use it for another version. How can I get all my hp software back on m pc.

I did download the windows 7 x64 from the link you gave me and burned it to a USB using power iso. I was able to get to install screen but it asks we for drivers. What drivers do I need?

OK so I just tried it again and it worked. My new issue is that there's no HP software on my PC. I'm not able to get online through WiFi or broadband Ethernet because there's no drivers to load them with. Where can I get the drivers I need? How come if I put windows 8 unactivated on my laptop I can still get online. If I wipe windows 8 and install 7 (which I have the key for, thanks for telling me the code was on the sticker) there's no drivers to run the WiFi or Ethernet? I'm conf7sed . also you asked which version of windows 7 I had preinstalled it was windows 7 pro x64.
