Windows 7 with an i7 processor

I've been looking around for an article or something that stats that windows 7 will use all the capabilities than an i7 processor has to offer. We are working on putting together a new pilot PC and want to make sure that the i7 and windows 7 work happily together before spending the extra money for the i7.
