Recently I've bought a 250GB SSD Samsung Evo 850.
I disconnected the HDD before installing Windows on the SSD
After reconnecting the HDD windows won't boot from SSD(gives boot fail).
I was able too boot from HDD and recognized the SSD in windows.
Again if I disconnect the HDD it will boot windows almost instantly from SSD.
I even tried installing Windows on SSD while the HDD was connected but it gives an error("windows could not update the computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed")
Then I formatted the C drive from the HDD but it didn't solve the problem.

My SSD simply doesn't work as primary boot drive when the HDD is connected.

Yes, SSD is the first boot device. Even when I disable the other boot devices windows won't boot from SSD.
Then I formatted the C drive from HDD. Still doesn't work.
Now I disconnected the HDD and works flawlessly.
If i reconnect the HDD it won't work again.

It's because you needed to reorder the boot sequence and put the new SSD as first boot device and remove the old HHD from the options list in the BIOS as a potential boot device...if there was something wrong with the old HHD you would not have been able to boot from it.

The reason you're booting ok now is you removed the old HHD which is still listed as the first boot device in the BIOS...
