Windows 7 wont boot - Missing CRYPT32.dll file

Hey guys,

My friend's laptop started doing this yesterday. It refuses to boot windows on account of it missing 'CRYPT32.dll'. The problem is she needs a document off of it fairly urgently. She does not have the original windows CD or details.

Has anyone any suggestions?

looks like it should boot in safemode .
