Hello community,

My old computer with Windows 7 had crashed and next time it wouldn't start.

It is giving me this screen:

I have tried repair, tried chkdsk, but no help.

Can someone please tell me what should I do?

Thank you!

The additional problems you describe could be power related.

If you are still running Windows 7 (for what reasons - not challenging that) then my thought is that you have an older system based on Windows 7 and the hardware specs you provided.

What make and model PSU is installed? Wattage, age, condition?

How full is that 500 GB HDD?

Power problems can and do corrupt files. If the PSU is the root issue, then reinstalling Windows 7 is likely moot - the problems will continue or quickly reappear.

Do you have a Windows 7 System Repair disk?
No. I tried looking for it, but unable to find it.

Any other way?

Also I remember the PC would freeze suddenly while using it before this thing happened. It was not just the screen that would freeze, if I was playing a video, there would be weird lines on the screen, the audio would stop as well. There was no option other than cutting off the power supply.

I guess that has caused the OS to get corrupt.
