Ok, so i've been looking around and haven't found anyone with the same problem. A few days ago, I had a sudden BSOD while playing a game. After that, every time i shut down my PC, when i switch it on, i get the usual BIOS greeting screen, it loads up some stuff, and after that - nothing. Just a black screen with some colored pixels running along the very top of it, flashing occasionally.
After a series of reboots - no change - I started tinkering around with some BIOS settings, but only touching the ones i knew something about. I un-clocked the CPU (set the settings back to auto), that didn't help. eventually, i tried switching around the boot order of the hard drives, and that did it - even though it took like, 2 more resets. Now, i can't perform the windows memory test - or any hardware checks that i know of - because they require a restart, and that means several of them - which leads to me never getting the scan done, or seeing the results.
I suspect it to be a hardware issue, since it's a 9-year old custom built PC. I've been messing around all of last night and this morning, and want to know if there's something i can do instead of getting new hardware, or at least what - specifically - need fixed.
Waiting patiently,
