Hi, my motherboard went black couple weeks ago, i had to get a new i got a new one, i had to install windows 7 (Home Premium) again, and there was still a couple undone windows patches etc.

I was in a hurry yesterday i put my computer to sleep mode, i unplug my mp3, the computer went back on, i was like ok, ill put it back to sleep, Windows wont answer, alt ctrl del not working, i had to go, i turn off my computer from the power button.

When i got home, windows won't even start, No signs of windows that day, F8 wont work, i go to boot options, Diagnostics, test my components, Everything was fine, just no signs of windows anywhere.

Anyone know what is going on in my computer or a simple solutions to this? i don't have the Windows 7 discs, and i'm totally broke, i've paid over 2 months of rent for new parts.:pfff:

If the drive shows up in the bios.
then your master boot record is most likely corrupted if it says cannot find os.
It needs to be repaired.
How exactly don`t you have a windows 7 disc if you say you used it to install 7 home premium.

Have you lost that also ?

Oh right now I see.
I thought you men`t you had the disk

Do you get a message saying missing os, when it tries to boot windows.
If so it is likely that the master boot record of the hard drive has become corrupted.

Any windows disk can fix this problem by using the system tools or repair tools.
So if you have a friend or someone with a windows disk just to boot from.
you can fix the problem.

You can use a windows xp disk, or a vista disk.
Bellow is a quick link on how to do this if you do not have a windows 7 disk but can get hold of a windows xp or vista boot able cd.
Fixing the MBR of a drive will not wipe the drive, and you will not loose all the information that was on it. It will recover the drive so windows is seen again and can boot off the drive it was installed on.

When i start up my computer, it doesn't say anything, the screen is completely blank after the "dell sign" has gone off... after 10-20 minutes it automatically boots the computer again and then nothing. The screen is completely black.
