I recently tried to install ubuntu onto a usb drive and use it with my windows7 laptop, and set up a dual boot system. I used my windows7 machine to install ubuntu onto the usb drive, and it worked! I booted into ubuntu. However when i tried to restart my machine, i could only boot into ubuntu, no option was given to boot into windows. I then tried turning off my pc, removing the usb drive containing ubuntu, and starting it. Again, it didnt give any option to boot into windows, instead it gave me an error message saying " no such device: 45698f7b-4851-408b-b695-9920df8a58d9.
Entering rescue mode...
Grub rescue>"

Even more, i can still see all the files (including system files) when using the ubuntu file browser, and can still open files located on my windows7 drive.

If anyone can help solve the problem that'd be greatly appreciated.
