Hello, I have been having issues with my computer not updating. I think its a security update that is causing the issue.

But whenever i want to restart my computer it asks to update, and it goes through the update to 100%, then it restarts and it says "We couldn't update undoing the changes"

It then takes about 25/30 minutes for it to restart after undoing the changes.

This has been going on for a few months now.

Aswell i had windows 10 on this PC, but the SSD that had the OS failed a few months after, so i have to go back to windows 8 with the Disk.

Thanks for helping.

Solution
if you already upgraded and activated a copy of Windows 10 on that machine, it retains a digital license when you reinstall it on that same machine.

There are two way.
Use Microsoft's Upgrade tool and when it come to keeping files or apps, just say keep nothing. It should for the most part do a fresh install.

Should that fail then you will need to create a bootable USB or DVD drive (using the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft) and have your machine boot to that device. You will need to check you system or board manufacturer to get instructions on how to change you boot device. They usually have an option to boot to a BOOT MENU to allow you change the boot drive.

Once you boot to the select drive, do a custom install and you can...
Try running system file checker
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files

if not that, you can delete all the predownload patch files that are in c:\windows\softwaredistibution\download. You may need to stop the WIndows Update service first. Restart the machine and check for updates again.

Lastly, you can always just reinstall Windows 10. When you first upgraded you already gain the digital entitlement license for your machine.
You can always reinstall it again. You may or may not want to do fresh install especially if the system is corrupted.

How would i go about reinstalling windows 10? and would it be fine to do a fresh install of windows 10 even if windows 8 system is corrupted?

Of course you should back up your essential file first since you will be starting from scratch.
If you believe the system is corrupted such that the upgrade will fail, you may want to create a bootable USB or DVD just in case.

that sound and update problem happened after i installed the Windows8.1-KB2919355-x64 update

i used this command findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"
and then in the desktop i found the text file. in text file i searched inside the document the words "cannot repair" and i found 4 problems all of then related to amd, and they are very similar
