Windows 8.1 and 8.1 Pro Key Issues

So here's what's happening, I have two computers, a desktop with 8.1 Pro and a laptop with 8.1 Home.

Recently, I acquired an internship, thus requiring Pro to access group policy and such. So after trying and failing at alternative options, I enter the key to my 8.1 Pro on my laptop. So my main issue right now is that my laptop now runs a deactivated 8.1 Pro and I'm wondering if I can activate it through Microsoft support, and then revert it back to the regular 8.1 after I am done with my internship while retaining 8.1 Pro on my desktop (not currently in use).

You should talk with Microsoft directly, but you will probably need to deactivate your desktop to be able to activate the laptop with the same key.
