Windows 8.1 and gaming

In general, how good is it. Any better than windows 7? It will be a fresh install onto a fresh computer, also I'll be running games like modded skyrim (in case your interested)

Works exactly the same way as 7 for gaming
Make sure you get a 64 bit copy

You can add a start button for free using a program called Classic Shell

8.1 is better than 7 but re: gaming, it's the same.
8.1 is more polished as an OS in general and is superior to 7.
Upgrade to 8.1 A++ recommended.
