Hey guys i recently built my new PC which is very powerful but windows 8.1 is taking to long to boot!

My Specs
i7 4770k
gtx 760
ga z87x ud3h
8gb 1866mhz ram
sea gate old 500gb drive my old computer booted much faster then this one!

I have disabled most of the service's and start up apps though no effect!
All my drivers are up to date!

Thanks!

will the Samsung 840 pro 256 gb a good reliable SSD? because i do lot's of rendering and transfers.

it's an old seagate 500gb 5200rpm my 2 new HDD's were DOA so i have to use this one but it's very slow compared to my old computer don't know why?

Your old PC probably ran a faster OS, like Windows XP, which played nice with the old HDD. As others stated, you should get a larger and faster HDD and/or an SSD. At least a Western Digital 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD should do the trick. As for the SSD, the Samsung 840 Pro is an excellent choice.

i ran 8.1 on that pc too that's why i am saying

yup i am going to get the seagate barracuda 1tb 7200 once my money is refunded
