Windows 8.1 BSOD right after install?
Hey there, I just built a computer and installed windows 8.1. When I get to the desktop (btw just installed so new drivers or anything) I can move around but there's actually considerable amount of lag when I open up anything (windows menu, file folders) and I installed the WLAN driver only to enter internet explorer and be faced with huge lag followed by BSOD. What should I do?

You should really run memory diagnostics to check for some errors first

I wish I could but I can't even get there without have a BSOD, should I try switching the slot the RAM is in?

Well, theres a other way to it...
If you have a working PC, download memtest86+ and extract the files to a flash drive or CD.

Grab your flash drive/CD on the problematic computer and boot to memtest86+
