Windows 8.1 bypassing UEFI

I've a Lenovo laptop, its about 2 years old.

I've looked through countless similar problems on here, before you ask , but cannot find an answer to this windows 8 is in a continual repair loop . I cannot get passed a preparing to repair statement.
It goes straight into this bypassing UEFI /Bios.
I've tried hitting the f1,f2, 12,Delete, and the windows keys when switching it on....It just straight into the loop. I cannot get to the settings.
I've tried booting with the win 8.1 disk in, without the disk in, with a USB bootloader pen in and with usb pen drive in.
I've run out of ideas. Can anyone help please?

have you tried without the hard drive in? Would think that would get you into UEFI

how about holding F1 in before powering PC on and hold it in until its obvious PC is ignoring you
