Windows 8.1 compatibility with games?

Hello, I am almost done with my build but I am heavily debating over what OS to get. I tried posting this question on steams website but the topic wouldn't publish, so my apologies if this isn't the best place for this. So anyways, here are the games I want to play on my new build.

• 
  -ArmA II
  -Arma II: Operation Arrowhead
  -DayZ (Both the mod for ArmA and the standalone (which is far in the future)
  -Amnesia: Both titles
  -Gmod
  -Skyrim

Thank you in advance, and I would prefer if you do say a game is or isn't compatible, you have experience (like you have Windows 8.1 and you can or can't play any of the previously listed games). Thanks again.

I haven't played the other ones in your list, but I can confirm that Skyrim works under 8.1.
