Greetings,

Since I've upgraded to windows 8.1, my elan touchpad configuration gets reset every time I reboot my laptop. Is this a known error?
Thanks in advance! If I need to give any more info, I will surely give it!

I'm not sure it's Samsung's fault. I also have this problem and it's affecting both my Sony Vaio Fit Flip 13 and my wife's Samsung 13 Ativ Lite. After every reboot the Elan settings revert to the annoying 1-finger-click which means you are constantly clicking things in error when just trying to move the mouse.
I've tried downloading the latest drivers from Elan but it didn't fix it. Although a right click on the icon in the taskbar suggests you can save favourite settings, it launches an odd window with Add, Modify, Delete and Save. Save doesn't save the settings.
Has anyone found a solution?

I also have the Flip 13 and I'm suffering from the same trackpad issue. This ELAN business is killing me. I really hope they release a fix for this problem. It's incredibly frustrating!

My Samsung NP300E5C-A0CUS laptop had the same problem after the update to 8.1. I was using the newest driver 11.14.3.1 and on reboot the scrolling wouldn't work until it was reset in the control panel. Go to C:\Program Files\Elantech and right click on ETDAniConf.exe and run as administrator. Change a setting and "Apply" in order to get the settings updated. After doing this, the touchpad will scroll after a reboot.

Hi there I might have a solution to your problem, I have a 9 series myself and noticed the same thing. First Have you upddated your software using SW update if that doesn't work have you gone into the mouse properties and looked at the drivers to see if they are enabled and there is nothing wrong with them if that doesn't work what you should do is go to your file explorer. Go to This pc/ double click on your primary harddrive (Local disk C:) / click the folder that says program files not program files (x86)/ once you've done that click on the Elantech folder this iwll open it and you'll notice a large number of folders scroll down till you find an application that says ETDsimpleUI click on that and not the one that says ETDsimpleUI_Win8. once you've double clicked it should open up the application and you should be able to restore all of your gestures that were originally there. Hopefully this helps
