Hello,

I have a 2x4GB kit of Crucial Ballistix DDR3 overclocked (native 1600) at 1866 mHz. For some reason, Windows 8.1 Pro says that only 5.96GB is usable though. Windows still says there is a total of 8 GB though. Please tell me why this is happening.

8 GB recognized in:
BIOS
CPU-Z
Windows

CPU - AMD A10-7850K
Mobo - Gigabyte F2A88X-D3H
RAM - Read up there
GPU - R7 250 Asus 1 GB edition

Thanks

Windows tries to manage things for you, to find out if this is the case go to Control Panel > Personalization > Display > Resolution, Advanced Setting > and look in the Adaptor tab, it will show shared System Memory

So you are saying that Windows is allocating 2.04 GB of ram to the card?

Why? Does it help performance at all? If so, can I increase it?
