I've seen lots of issues with multiple monitors on 8.1, but nothing quite like what I'm experiencing.

I have an HP 9470M with Windows 8.1 on a n HP model-specific docking station. I have 3 monitors. Two are HP LA2306x connected directly to my docking station via DisplayPort cables and a Samsung EX2220 connected via a Kensington USB 3.0 docking station to my regular docking station. (so it basically only acts as a USB display adapter)

I should be able to extend across all 3 monitors, but it will only duplicate on the 2 HP monitors (connected to the dock) and extend to the 3rd (the Samsung, connected via USB). This configuration works perfectly on my HP EliteBook 820 G1 (same docking station).

Looking in settings, it only shows one HP monitor, though it is displaying duplicated on both. If I turn one of the HPs off, the video drivers reset as though I turned off an active monitor.

I've updated drivers to the 8.1 specific drivers & made sure that all my associated software is up to date.. I've also run "sfc /scannow" just in case. But whatever I do, it will only show the 2 LA2306x monitors as one in the Resolution Settings control panel.
