Windows 8.1 main monitor start menu font size

I decided to hook up my tv to my computer and share the main monitor with it in order to play games with a steering wheel/controller and now all the icons, font etc. are massive compared to what it used to be. The menus are fine on other monitors and the desktop is unchanged on the main monitor.

try control panel--display--change all items size

and move the slider to what suits
