Windows 8.1 or 10 For Gaming?

Hi, I recently received a suggestion from Microsoft to get a free upgrade to Windows 10. I reserved my free upgrade so that I can upgrade for free anytime I want, but am not sure if I will upgrade. The only problem I have with upgrading to Windows 10 is lack of knowledge on the topic of performance (mainly for games) between different Operating Systems. I was wondering if Windows 8.1 x64 is better than the latest release of Windows 10. I mainly play games on my PC, but sometimes do other things like listen to music, browse the web, and edit pictures sometimes. Not sure if that info was needed, but can't hurt to include it. Thanks.

its will not be for any time you want. the upgrade is only free for until july 26, 2016. after that you will have to buy it. windows 10 is basically like windows 8.1 with some great features. if you are a gamer the upgrade is worth it for direct x 12

no you only have until then to take the free upgrade. once you take the upgrade it will be yours for life
